About Sun Groves
Sun Groves is a wonderful place to live, and families of all stages can enjoy its many amenities. The development occupies an area of approximately 600 acres, some 93 acres of which is devoted to parkland, or commons areas, for residents' use, including almost 34 acres of grass and several miles of walking trails. The Navarrete Elementary School is located within the community itself, and Basha High School is situated on the north side of Riggs Road at Val Vista, directly opposite the development. An inviting feature is the proximity of the Gila River Indian Community, just south of Hunt Highway, which leaves open country to the south.
Lindsay and Val Vista are less likely to bear the volume of traffic that they support only a few miles farther north. Yet we have easy access to the amenities provided there. Quick access to the new Loop 202 freeway, and its links with Loop 101 and I-10, now makes travel around the valley easier. Shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and world-class golf courses are only minutes away. Plus, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is within 30 miles. At Sun Groves, we can still live in what is basically a quiet edge of the vibrant, mainstream thoroughfare, but still enjoy the tranquility and charm of living off the beaten path.
The development started to build out in 2000, and, upon completion of the final phase, will comprise 1868 homes. At least eight different builders have constructed homes in Sun Groves, which proudly displays their various architectural flair and diversity. More than 90% of the homes are currently occupied. About fifty more are in various stages of construction, and the remainder has not yet been started. Additionally, development of a new Chandler regional park is being planned next to the high school just north of the community. |
